James "Jim" Olejniczak, 65, of Green Bay, beloved husband of the late Marilyn (Scully) Olejniczak, departed this life on Friday, June 3, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
Jim was born on March 15, 1951 in Green Bay, son of Mary (Delvaux) Belonger, and the late Ervin W. Olejniczak. Jim enlisted in the U. S. Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He received the Purple Heart and the Vietnam Cross of Gallentry Medals along with numerous other awards. While in the Army he served in the 4th Infantry Division. Jim was employed as a Security Captain at J. J. Security in Green Bay. In his spare time he loved wood working, deer hunting, and painfully attempted karaoke. He also enjoyed his dogs, but mostly he always maintained a close relationship with his Mom.
He will be sadly missed by his mother Mary Belonger of Green Bay. He also leaves his 4 daughters: Charity Klueckman, and Candy, Aja, and Nichol Webster in addition to 12 grandchildren. Jim is also survived by his siblings: Bill (Deanna) Patnode, Daniel (Judy) Olejniczak, William (Pam) Olejniczak, and Madonna (Jerry) Howard along with numerous nieces and nephews and special friend Carol Skenandore. Jim is preceded in death by his son: James Jr., a brother, Joe Olejniczak, and nephew, Albert Olejniczak.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15th from 4 - 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A memorial service will follow in the funeral home at 6 PM. Interment with full Military Honors will be held on Thursday, June 16th at 11:00 AM at Fort Howard Cemetery.
