James Paul Michaels

James Paul Michaels, 65, of Green Bay, departed this life on April 26, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital.

Jim was born on September 19, 1957 in La Crosse, Wisconsin the son of Gerald and Marian (Halverson) Michaels.

He was a graduate of LaCrosse Central High School Class of 1975. While in high school he was active in sports including football and baseball. He also played on the Stars of Tomorrow baseball team which was coached by his father.

Jim's passion was buying/selling baseball and football cards. He had his own shop while living in Maryland. He also had an active eBay presence in this area. He would do card shows all over the East Coast. Oh, how he loved to talk about baseball and football cards.

Jim had a big heart and cared about people. He loved to debate and speak his mind. He was a Green Bay Packer's fan, loved to go fishing and go to the casino's.

Jim is survived by his siblings; Diane (Jim) Young, Kerry (Scott) Deuchar, Sally (Dean Fuchs) Michaels , twin sister Janice (Ken) Becker, Bob (Lilah) Michaels, Tom (Connie) Michaels, Sue (John) Harris, John Michaels as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, his best friend Chuck and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Scott Michaels and one nephew Luke Michaels.

Cremation is planned. Services will be private.

The family would like to thank all the staff of St. Vincent Hospital for the wonderful care they have provided Jim throughout the years.
