James H. Bramschreiber

August 20, 1930 — October 25, 2015

James H. Bramschreiber, age 85, passed from this earth to his heavenly home on Sunday, October 25, 2015.

He was born in Little Suamico, WI on August 20, 1930, a son of the late John and Martha Bramschreiber. James attended local schools, and was a graduate of Oconto Falls High School. He joined the US Army and served much of his two years in Germany where he trained as a sharp shooter. After his military service, he took over the family farming operation. He had a lifelong love of all things outdoors, including sugaring and putting up firewood.

In his free time, Jim was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing dart ball with friends and spending time at the hunting cabin in Athelstane. In early years, Jim enjoyed singing in the family choir at St. John's Lutheran Church in Little Suamico.

Jim is survived by his brother John Bramschreiber of Owensboro, KY, sister Fern (the late Leroy) Wussow of Green Bay; his brother Dean (Ann) Bramschreiber of Green Bay and his sisters-in-law Rachel, Ethel and Carolyn. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Harold, Robert and Ray.

Memorial visitation will be held at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5 to 6:45 PM. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Little Suamico.

For those wishing, memorials are appreciated to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV).

The family wishes to thank Nurse Katie and staff at Marla Vista Manor for their compassionate care of Jim.
