James "Jim" M. Gellin, 84, of Green Bay, passed away on January 18, 2025 at St Vincent Hospital. He was born on August 1, 1940 to Gustave and Gladys (LaPage) Gellin in Green Bay. On July 30, 1960; he married Sharon Farvour at Saints Peter and Paul. Their marriage was blessed with six children. Jim worked for the Civil Defense; and he loved to help out and volunteer. He was a hard working man, and enjoyed giving his children wonderful experiences. They enjoyed going camping, fishing, watching football games, and hanging out with his friends. Jim was a dedicated Wisconsin sports fan. He treasured the time he spent with his family.
Jim is survived by his five children: Sandy (John) Hasseler, Steve (Terri) Gellin, Missy Couillard, Julie (Mike) Neumann, and Sarah (Ray) Harris; 12 grandchildren: Hunter, Aniyah, Joey, Amanda, Michael, Keyonna, DaVaun, Jennifer, Billy, Andrew, Alex, and Romelo; 9 great-grandchildren, further survived by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sharon, one son, Joey, and one brother, Dick Gellin.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Ave; with funeral services following at 6:00 pm.
The family would like to extend a thank you to the staff at Woodside Nursing Home for all their wonderful care, comfort, and support that was given to Jim and the family.
