James Fischer

James R. Fischer, 70, Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2014. He was born on January 28, 1944, in Port Washington, WI, to the late Reinhold and Mae Fischer.
Jim grew up on a farm near Port Washington. After graduating high school, he worked on a Mink Farm. Later, he was a machinist for Kelsey Hayes and a maintenance worker at the Brown County Arena.
Survivors include children, Todd (Amy) Fischer and Angela (Dean) Koenig; grandchildren, Jordan, Noah, and Logan Fischer and Sam, Hannah and Alex Koenig; siblings, Reinhold (Carol) Fischer, Robert (Kathy) Fischer and Andrew (Sharon) Fischer; as well as many other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Betty Glime.
Visitation will be held from 1:00pm until the time of service at 2:00pm on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay *(Monroe Ave., is closed, access to funeral home from Madison Ave., One block west of Monroe)* Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.
The family would like to thank Chilton Care Center and the staff of Heartland Hospice for their care of Jim.
