James F. Koltz, 80, of Green Bay, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at home surrounded by family. He was born May 5, 1934 in De Pere, WI, to the late John and Gertrude (Hockers) Koltz. James married Marianne Bender June 4, 1960.
Jim enjoyed a long career as a professional truck driver. He had a passion for the road and the people he met on his many trips.
James is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Marianne; son, James Koltz; daughter, Kathleen (Philip) Fox; sister, Marion (Tom) Kiley; brother, Richard "Dick" (Rita) Koltz; grandchildren, Matthew, Julia and Andrew; brothers-in-law, Robert Bender, Ray Kiley, Lee McDermid; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Mary Jane; his parents; sisters, Dorothy Kiley and Judy McDermid; brothers, George (Ruth) and Frank (Nancy) Koltz; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clarke (Jane) Bender and Richard (Elaine) Bender.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., Green Bay, from 10:00am until Noon. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon on Tuesday at the church with Rev. Philip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Burial will be at Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
