t is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my wife's oldest brother. James L. Evans
You will be truly missed Big Brother by all of your family.
James L. Evans transitioned on Sunday March 26, 2023. James L. Evans was born in Pontotoc Ms on July 31, 1954 James L. Evans graduated from Washington Park High School. Right after graduating he wanted to serve his country so he enlisted in the U.S Army. On returning home from the US Army he found employment at Belle City Foundry, and at Chrysler Motor Company in Kenosha WI were he was employed for many years.
He is survived by his wife Catherine Evans, mother Mattie M. Jackson, brothers Ricky(Aneisha Kelly-Evans)of Greenbay Wi, John Wayne Evans of Pontotoc Ms, Hugh W. Vaughn, David(Brenda) Jackson of Racine Wi, Thomas Evans of Jeffersonville IN, Rodger Jackson of NewYork, and one sister Ann(Charles) Jones of Caledonia WI. Two stepbrothers Adrial Walton of Racine, WI and Howard McGray of Milwaukee WI, Four Uncles Willie B. Lusk(Buck)of Racine WI, William B. Lusk aka Dub(Carolyn)of California, Author Lee Lusk of Pontotoc Ms., Roy Allen aka Molly(Frances)of Milwaukee WI, and one Aunt Margaret Ann(Henderson) Ramsey. And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Willie James Evans, his "Pops" David W. Jackson and Brother Lawrence Earl Evans.
Service will be Officiated this Saturday April 1, 2023 from 1pm til 3pm by James' Brother in Law Apostle Charles C Jones
