James M. Birr, age 83, a lifelong resident of Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, August 9, 2023. He was born March 20, 1940 in Green Bay, son of the late Reuben and Arlene (Morris) Birr and was a graduate of Green Bay East High School.
Jim proudly served his country in the US Navy. He worked for the City of Green Bay municipal department for many dedicated years.
James was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
James is survived by his nephews, Bill (the late Kim) Delwiche and Nick (Julie) Delwiche; a niece, Carol (Gordy) Dittmer and their children, Kimberly and Brier and sister-in-law, Carol "Maggie" Birr. He is further survived by long time friends, Denise Lasee (her daughter, Carolyn Kropp) and Rodney Nelson and brother-in-law, Jim Delwiche.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reuben and Arlene Birr, a brother, John Birr, a sister, Jan Delwiche.
Per Jim's wishes, no services will be held.
