Jacqueline M. "Jackie" Matuszak, age 88, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 31, 2017 with her loving family at her side. She was born May 7, 1929 in Green Bay, daughter of the late Celeste and Ann (Boehm) Parins.
Jackie married Herbert Matuszak, June 11,1950 in Green Bay at the historic Kropp's Supper Club. Jackie and Herbie shared 36 years of marriage and raised 8 children before he passed away, February 8, 1986.
Jackie worked as a waitress at King's X Supper Club, Green Bay for many happy years. She enjoyed socializing, canning, gardening, dancing, Polka music and playing cards with her relatives. She was a faithful member of Ss. Edward & Isidore Altar & Rosary Society. She was proud mom and grandma and spending time with her children and grandchildren was her greatest joy. Her spunk and sense of humor will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Jacqueline is survived by her 8 children: Larry (Cathy) Matuszak, Peggy (Bruce) Johnson, Steve Matuszak, Cheryl (Randy) Charles, Tom Matuszak, Beth (Patrick) Ehlen, Joe Matuszak and Michele Jach; 19 grandchildren: Luke, Tracie and Nick, Tiffany, Lisa, Jason and Jake, Ben, Jeremy, David and Alex, Stephanie, Alicia and Adrienne, Jordan, Carly and Lance, Eric and Tim; 19 great-grandchildren (and 1 on the way); 2 brothers, Milton and Rayfield Parins and a sister, Berniece Krueger. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by 2 grandsons, Jeffrey Gwidt and Jason Matuszak and a special friend, Marvin Lishka.
Visitation will be held at SS. EDWARD & ISIDORE PARISH (3667 Flintville Rd., Suamico, WI), Friday, November 3, 2017 from 9 to 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 AM. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions has been entrusted with arrangements.
Jackie's family would like to extend a special thank you to her son, Thomas for being her caretaker for many years. They would also like to thank Cottonwood Manor and Heartland Hospice.
