Jacqueline "Jackie" Elliott, age 88, of Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 14, 1929 in Jacksonport, WI, daughter of the late Herbert and Mercedes (Marr) Stephenson and was a graduate of Algoma High School.
Jackie married Robert Elliott, April 3, 1948 in Algoma and together they shared 54 loving years of marriage and raised 5 children. The family relocated to Green Bay in the late 1950's. Robert passed away February 3, 2002.
Jackie looked forward to her yearly trips to Las Vegas with her friends. She also enjoyed her daily routine of meeting her friends at McDonalds followed by shopping for more jewelry. Her family admired her zest for life and her spunk. She loved animals, collecting dolls and cheering on her Green Bay Packers. Jackie's favorite holiday was Christmas. Her tree was decorated in angels and feathers. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Jackie is survived by her 5 children: Laura (Maynard) Johnson, Polly (Steve) Pumphrey, Thomas (fiancé, Debbie) Elliott, Jill (Jerry Gillis) Buhler and Brett (Lynn) Elliott; 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jim (Theresa) Stephenson and an aunt (sister), Mary Christensen. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley (Ken) Koch, a grandson, Seth and a nephew, Joel.
Visitation will be held at NEWCOMER CREMATIONS, FUNERALS & RECEPTIONS (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Monday, December 11, 2017 from 4 to 6 PM. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM.
Jackie's family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Bongiorno and his staff for their many years of care. They would also like to thank Heartland Hospice and Alpha Senior Concepts for their compassion, care and support.
