Iris B. Valk, 96, passed away on December 6, 2021 following a several year struggle with dementia and Alzheimers.
Iris was born on January 2, 1925 to August and Minnie (Russ) Mielke in Wrightstown, WI. She married Bernard Valk on September 16, 1942 in Wrightstown. They celebrated 65 years of marriage until his passing on October 16, 2007. Iris worked at Dehn's Ice Cream Shop for many years before retiring to stay home and raise her family.
Iris is survived by her son Roger, granddaughter Tina (Mike) Sullivan, great-grandson Connor, and daughter-in-law Lorin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her children James, Janice, Richard, Robert and daughter-in-law Eleanor.
There is no funeral or visitation. There will be a celebration of her life at a later date.
The family extends a sincere thank you to the staff of Tender Hearts Assisted Living and Heartland Hospice and Moments Hospice for all their care.
