Ida Mae (Tweet) Brawner, 95, died peacefully on Friday, June 9, 2017. Ida was born on March 22, 1922 to Marcella Mae (Huguet) and Andrew Martin Tweet. She married Richard C. Brawner, Sr. at St. Willebrord Parish, Green Bay on March 25, 1943.
Ida will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her five sons and their families: Richard C. (Janet), James (Lynda), Thomas (Victoria), William and David (Cindi) Brawner. She was the loving grandmother of Sara (PJ) Cannon and Major Rebecca Brawner, Andrew, Charlie (Chelsee) Brawner and Betsy (Brett) Hornseth, Nathan (Lisa) Brawner, Nellie Novoselatz and Nora (Jesse) Vieau, Kate (Brett) Brawner-Bennett and Maggie (Colin) Pickering. Great grandchildren include: Lizzie and James Cannon, Ava, Phoebe, Andy and Lucy Brawner, Will, Sam, Ben and Megan Hornseth, McCain Novoselatz, Maybelline, Millicent and Brawner Birch Vieau.
Ida is survived by sister-in-law, Patricia Tweet, her Goddaughter and niece, Judy Tweet Howald and nephew, John Tweet. Special thanks to friends Mary Kluth and Shirley Kaminski.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Marcella and Andrew, her husband, Richard, her brother, Andrew Jr. and her sister, Arleen Tweet.
Visitation will be held at ST. WILLEBRORD PARISH (209 S. Adams St., Green Bay), Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 9 to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM with Fr. Andy Cribben, O. Praem, celebrant. Interment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
Ida's Catholic faith was very important to her, she gently shared it with others until the day she died. Memorials may be made to the Open Hearts, Open Doors Endowment Fund to benefit St. Willebrord Parish.
The family would like to graciously thank Fr. Andy Cribben, O. Praem, as well as the wonderful staff at Oddfellows Nursing Home and Unity Hospice for the loving care they gave to our Mother.
