Howard G. Zimdars, 74, Green Bay, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, Friday, July 13, 2012. He was born August 29, 1937 in West Bend to the late Emil and Freida (Ohman) Zimdars. On April 8, 1961 Howie married Lucille "Lucy" Vey in West Bend. Howie worked 26 years at Allen Foods until he retired in 2004 to spend more time with his grandchildren. He always kept busy with gardening and household projects. Howie was an avid Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers fan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Lucy; 4 children: Linda (Jerry) Micolichek, Laura Bowden, Susan (Thomas) Hoffman, and Daniel (fiancée, Lee Mounsey) Zimdars; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings: Dennis (Rosie) and Doug (Leah) Zimdars and Darlene (Paul) Hausman; and sisters-in-law, Barbara and Janie.
Howie was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bradley Zimdars; and siblings: Myrtle (Fabian) Roberts, Ronald, Gene, and Richard Zimdars.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, from 4:00pm until the time of service at 6:00pm.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
