Herman Charles "Chuck" Bader, age 92, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday, March 27, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 2 in Duvall, WI, son of the late Steven and Rose (Dupont) Bader.
Chuck graduated from Brussels High School and went on to study at UW-Stout. Chuck was a proud member of the Red Arrow Division of the Army National Guard, where he honorably served his country for 2 years. Chuck married Muriel Vandevelde, November 10, 1948 and they shared 31 years of marriage before she passed away in 1980. Chuck was employed as a mechanics instructor at the Green Bay Correctional Institute for 28 dedicated years and also taught at NWTC for 5 years.
Chuck's great passions in life were his family, dancing, traveling, cars and trips to the casino (in that order!)
Chuck is survived by his children: Christine (Dennis) Bricco, Debra (Dale) Rader and Michael (fiancé, Julie Selissen) Bader; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; his sister, Rita Bader; sister-in-law, Betty Bader; special friend, Jayne Heinrich and his Tuesday morning breakfast buddies, Ken and Tom.
He was preceded by his parents, his wife, Muriel and brothers, Anthony and Clayton Bader.
A celebration of Chuck's life will be held by his family at a later date.
