Henry P. "Hank" Kruszynski, 90, Green Bay, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, June 5, 2014. He was born July 16, 1923, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Anton and Stella (Klosowski) Kruszynski. Hank proudly served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corp. He then attended technical college for TV and radio repair in Chicago. Hank owned and operated Video Electronics Servicenter in Green Bay for over 50 years. Hank married the love of his life Dolores Irzyk on November 12, 1949, at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Gary, Indiana.
Hank loved to golf, had a hole-in-one, and played league golf for more than thirty years. He enjoyed listening to the Chicago Cubs games and watching the Packers. He helped set up the original sound system at City Stadium and Lambeau Field for the Packers, attended the 1967 Ice Bowl, and was a season ticket holder since the 1950's.
Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Dolores; six children: Patricia (Robert) Grathen, Green Bay; Michael (Kay) Kruszynski, Menomonie, WI; Susan (Kenneth) Hoffmann, Louisville, KY; Lisa (Antonio) Chapa, Suamico; Robert (Jeanene) Kruszynski, Green Bay; and Kim (David) Burbach, Green Bay; seven grandchildren: Alexander and Whitney Hoffmann, Steven and Kendra Burbach, Karlyn Kruszynski, and Kathryn and Eliza Kruszynski; and many nieces and nephews.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers and 2 sisters.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm with a parish prayer service at 7:00 pm. *(Monroe Ave. is closed. Access to the funeral home is available off of Madison St., One Block West of Monroe Ave.)* Visitation will continue on Wednesday at St. Jude Catholic Parish, 1420 Division St., Green Bay, from 10:00 am until 11:00 am. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the church on Wednesday at 11:00 am with Rev. Ryan Krueger officiating. Military honors will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for dementia research. Families dealing with loved ones suffering from the ravages of dementia will be positively impacted by your donation. Hank would have liked your kind, practical generosity.
