Helen M. Beyer, 85, of Green Bay, beloved wife of the late Leonard Beyer, departed this life on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Unity Hospice in De Pere surrounded by her family.
Helen was born on August 10, 1931. On September 17, 1949 she married Leonard and they raised four sons together. For over 22 years she worked with her son Dean at Dean's Budget Auto where she greeted each person with her friendly handshake. In her spare time Helen enjoyed baking and was especially known for her homemade muffins, banana bread and strawberry jams. She loved to read and collecting bells and Boyds Bears. She was a avid Packers and NASCAR fan and especially loved Brett Favre and Dale Earnhardt.
Her memory will live on with her four boys: Gary (Bonnie), Terry (Cindy) Mark (Jan) and Dean (Kimberly). She is also survived by her three beloved grandchildren: Mike (Jeannie) Beyer, Lori (Matt) Duquaine, Tony (Toni) Beyer, along with three great grandchildren: Logan and Chase Beyer and Elizabeth Duquaine and another great grandbaby on the way! Helen also leaves a sister, Esther (Buzz) Bellmore, a brother, Don (Judy) Johnson along with many nieces and nephews and two step- granddaughters: Denny (Paul) Bomburg, and Stephan Thompson. Helen also leaves three step great grandchildren: Tyler, Abby, and Kyleigh and her dear longtime friend, Artur Betker and his family, Mike (Jeanette) Betker, and their daughters, Ainsley and Hayden, and John (Krissy)Betker and their daughter Sarah and we can't leave out her special grand dog Clo Clo "Chloe". She is preceded in death by her sister Alice Bertrand.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 18th from 4 - 5:45 PM at the First United Methodist Church, 501 Howe Street, Green Bay. A funeral service will follow at 6 PM in the Church. The Newcomer Funeral Home of Green Bay has been entrusted with arrangements.
