Harvey R. Farvour, 86, of Green Bay, beloved husband of 63 years to Carol (Rosik) Farvour, departed this life on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at his home with his family at his side.
Harvey was born on April 29, 1930 in Wautoma, WI, son of the late Guy and Alice (Chase) Farvour. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict as a Corporal. He retired after 37 years of service at St. Mary's Hospital in their maintenance department. In his spare time Harvey enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling with his wife and kids. He was a member of the American Legion and the V.F.W.
He is survived by his wife Carol, and their children: Ginger (Mike Wilson) Farvour, and Dale Farvour. He also leaves his siblings: Patrick (Rachael) Farvour, Patricia DeBaere, Ronald (Ann) Farvour and brother-in-law James Gellin. Harvey also leaves his beloved grandchildren: Thomas (Amy) Farvour, Tyler (Jesse Alland) Farvour, and Lucinda Farvour along with great grandchildren: Maximus Farvour, Michael Bushmaker, and Riley Farvour along with numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his son, Lawrence Farvour along with several siblings.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 11th from 11 AM - 1:45 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A memorial service will follow at 1:45 PM in the funeral home, with Ann Froelich of St. Matthew's Church officiating. Interment will follow at Allouez Catholic Cemetery with full military honors. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff of Aurora Home Hospice for the love and care given to Harvey.
