Harry M. Wilson, age 71, of Green Bay, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at St. Vincent Hospital, after an unexpected, brief illness. He was born September 19, 1949, son of the late Loyal and Dorothy (Sprague) Wilson and was a graduate of Ashwaubenon High School, Class of 1968.
After graduating, Harry enlisted in the US Marine Corps in August of 1969, stationed in Okinawa, Japan, where he was assigned to field communications. He proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in February of 1971. After his honorable discharge from the military, Harry attended NWTC where he studied Civil Engineering. He married Debra Sjogren, May 21, 1972 and the couple was blessed with a daughter. Harry was a skilled auto body technician and held various jobs in Green Bay and the surrounding area.
Harry was passionate about auto body work and was a fantastic restorer/painter of old cars, for which he won many awards and trophies. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and boating enthusiast. He loved listening to country western music and singing karaoke, while enjoying a cocktail or two.
Harry is survived by his daughter, Gwen (James) Boucher; 3 grandchildren: Madina, Andrey and Keara; a brother, Larry (Mary) Wilson; his former wife, Debbie Livermore; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.
He was preceded in death by 5 siblings: Robert Wilson, Loyal (Mary) Wilson Jr., Margie (Sandy) Buchanon, Phyllis (Mel) Wilson and Alice "Tootsie" (Robert) Seidl.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Thursday, May 27, 2021 from 3 to 5 PM. A memorial service will follow at 5PM with full military honors.
