Harold Gene Taylor age 90, of Green Bay, Wisconsin passed away October 3, 2016.
Harold was born April 14, 1926, at Manistique, Michigan, the son of the late Grant and Lula M. Taylor. He was united in marriage on January 8, 1955 to Margaret Champeau in Green Bay. The family has lived in the Green Bay area since 1955.
Harold graduated from Manistique High School with the class of 1943. After graduation he was called to serve his country with the Navy and then the Army, serving in WWII. Upon returning home from WWII, he began working as a welder in Green Bay, lastly retiring with Tech Industries, Green Bay in 1989.
Harold loved the country, and after retiring, spent many happy days hunting, fishing, watching the Packers, flying his ultra-light plane, and most of all telling jokes.. He enjoyed traveling and going to Branson, and liked to dance. He loved being with his family and friends and helping others.
Survivors include his angel Wife, Margaret of 61 years along with many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his Sons, Harold L. Taylor & Marvin G. Taylor, along with his brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Monday, October 10, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Vigil service at 7 pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home - Green Bay. Funeral Services will be held 10 am Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the Newcomer Funeral Home - Green Bay. Interment will be in the Fort Howard Memorial Park.
