Harold Ashley

Harold F. Ashley, age 74, went to be with his Lord on March 31, 2018. He was born to Louis & Elizabeth Ashley on August 1, 1943.
Both of Harry's parents died young when Harry was 4 years old. He went to live with his older brother and his wife, Donald & Beulah Ashley. Harry grew up with Donnie Ashley, Michael Ashley and Linda Ashley, his brothers & sister.

Harry married Catherine "Kay" Young on August 28, 1965. They met in New York City when Harry was in the Navy. Kay and Harry had 53 years together and were soul mates. Harry and Kay had two children, Keith M. Ashley and Kim Ashley.

He loved to golf and enjoyed his part-time job at Oneida Golf Club. Dartball was his second love and he played with many of the same people for over 40 years. Harry cherished his friends, Darrell, Howie, Alex, Bob and his younger buddy, Travis.

Kay has been given so much support and love by Cathy Johnson. She drove her to the doctors, hospitals, grocery stores in the middle of the snow storm. We will forever be grateful to her. Also, thank you to Darrell Johnson, Kay & Michael Zastrow, Dave Hansen and family, Howie Schroder and many other friends and relatives.

Harry was preceded in death by his son, Keith; brothers, Donald (Beulah) Ashley, Lawrence (Irene) Ashley and Donnie Ashley, Jr.

Harry is survived by his wife, Kay; daughter, Kim; sister, Linda (Steve) Vanden Heuvel; other survivors include, brother, Michael (Susan) Ashley, Connie Ashley, Walter (Wendy) Ashley, Teresa (Alden) Black, Alice (Nick) Price.

Harry will be loved and remembered by all who knew him, especially Kay who will always love him and treasure his memory.

Visitation will be at Bethel Lutheran Church from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday, March 9, 2018. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 am.
