Hannah Natalie Johnsen Schoen, 89, Green Bay, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2014.
She was born on September 19, 1925, the seventh of eight children to John and Anna (Andersen) Johnsen, in the town of New Denmark.
Proceeded in death by both parents and her seven other siblings, Hannah, has now completed her family circle by joining her parents and her brothers, Johannes (Clara), Edmund (Gladys), Louie (Iris and Rose), and Darvin, her sisters, Val Benecke (Earl), Edna VanDreel (Frank) and Marcella.
Hannah was also preceded in death by her former husband Virgil Schoen. They will forever more dance through the clouds to the music of the angels.
She is survived by a daughter, Sondra Ann Schoen Meyer and her husband Scott; grandson, Shane Meyer and great-grandchildren, Mason and Addison Meyer who put the twinkle in her eyes and the smile on her face, they were the loves of her life.
Hannah is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Her niece, Carol Hansen, faithfully visited and called every week bringing joy and happiness throughout the many days and months of Hannah's illness. Her niece Joann Alger brought flowers from her garden and many visits to cheer and comfort her. A special thank you from Hannah's family for their loving kindness.
A heartfelt thank you to all who cared and loved and brought peace to Hannah, Val, her Hospice nurse and Andrew, Val's son, there are not enough words to express the love and kindness and exceptional care that was given. Andrew's prayers brought comfort beyond explanation. Also, a special thank you to Aurora VNA Hospice, especially Dawn and Sheila and the entire staff at Bornamanns, the nurses, the CNA's and their entire staff.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2014, from 9:30am until 11:00am at Grace Lutheran Church, 321 Madison St., Green Bay. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
