Grace E. Mongelli, age 68, passed away on November 13, 2023 at her home surrounded by family, after a two year battle with cancer.
No wonder her name was "Grace," for her life embodied the very concept.
Anyone who loved Grace saw that she knew how to live well, was always concerned about others, and genuinely appreciated and encouraged her family and friends. She had an abiding faith in God and could flash a smile that rivaled the rising sun on a warm summer's day.
Whether tournament fishing for walleye or hunting elk in the mountains in fall, Grace proved herself to be a sportswoman in her own right, and was deeply respected among her peers.
What we all admired about Grace was how she could hold her own with her husband, Gary! Her special brand of wisdom and quick wit matched his intensity, and she was absolutely the perfect spouse for him.
During the final chapter of her life, she was starkly confronted with the formidable challenge that only metastatic cancer can bring. But she walked through it all with a remarkable demonstration of personal fortitude, extraordinary courage, and most of all... GRACE.
Rest easy, dear one. You will always be loved by everyone who had the blessing and honor of knowing you.
