Grace "Mitzi" L. Cygan

Grace "Mitzi" L. Cygan, aged 82, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Monday November 4, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born February 7, 1942, in Shawano, WI, daughter of the late Grant and Arline (Denn) MacKenzie.

Mitzi was a graduate of Green Bay East High School. During her high school days she was a cheerleader for the Green Bay Packers when the Packers played at City Stadium.

Mitzi married her life-long husband, James P. Cygan Sr., on October 19, 1963 at SS. Peter & Paul Parish, Green Bay. They recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary.

Mitzi was known for her artistic and creative spirit. She enjoyed drawing, sewing, and crafts. She had a special talent for floral arrangements. She was proud to create all the floral arrangements for her cherished son James P. Cygan, Jr and her daughter-in-law, Lori's wedding.

Mitzi dedicated her early years to being a homemaker, nurturing her family with love and care, and later in life worked in retail sales, bringing her warmth and kindness to the community.

She leaves behind her husband, James P Cygan Sr.; son, James P Cygan Jr. and his wife, Lori; six grand puppies; three sisters Darline, Bonnie and Barb along with nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. 

Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
