Loving mother and grandmother, Grace M. Gokey, 85, of Green Bay, became her family's guardian angel on Monday, September 11, 2023. She was born in Stockton, California on April 16, 1938 to Felix and Lucy (Gariby) Ordiniza.
Throughout her beautiful journey, she enjoyed travel, motorcycle riding, cooking, baking, sewing, thrifting, shopping at flea markets, sailing and spending time with family. Her favorite activity will always be camping with many family & friends over the years. Grace's greatest joy was being a grandmother. She loved watching her grandchildren grow, followed all their sporting events & made countless memories with them.
Grace is survived by her three children: Terri (Steve) Marotz, James (Jessica) Young, and Patrick (Melissa) Gokey; Grandchildren: Tyler (Brittany) Marotz, Austin (Annie) Gokey, Morgan Gokey and Cassidy Young. Her Cat, Gertie a.k.a "Sassy."
She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband, Basil "Buzz" Gokey.
At this time, private family services will be held as per Grace's wishes.
A special thank you to Aurora BayCare Oncology's Dr. Nirav Patel and their wonderful staff. You showed Grace and our family overwhelming care and compassion. Also, a warm, loving, thank you to Aurora BayCare's hospitalists Dr. Chung Chen, Dr. Krystal Wasmundt & Dr. Riley Meyer and associating 4th floor Med/Surg Nursing staff. Your love, compassion and thoughtfulness made this difficult journey peaceful for our family and for Grace.
