Gordon R. "Gordie" Manteufel, 48, Green Bay, died unexpectedly on Monday, December 9, 2013, at his place of residence. Gordon was born July 29, 1965, in Green Bay, to Gordon O. and Dorothy (LaPlante) Manteufel.
Gordon attended St. John School for the Deaf in Milwaukee, WI, where he was on the basketball and football teams. He later studied at Delavan School for the Deaf. Gordon loved the outdoors and riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed working out at the Y.M.C.A., working on his computer, and watching the Packers.
Gordon was blessed with a big heart and loved to help others. He will leave a lasting impression on those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy; daughter, Brooke Wendler; and brothers and sisters, Debra Hill, James (Vickie) Manteufel, and Susan Manteufel, all of Green Bay; and Steve Manteufel, Blaine, MN.
Gordon was preceded in death by his father, Gordon.
Family and friends may gather on Friday, December 13, 2013, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, from 4:00pm until the time of service at 6:00pm.
