Glenn H. Moen, of Suamico, died peacefully, Sunday October 17, 2021. Glenn was born March 25, 1936 to Gladys (Bekhus) and Harris Moen in Iola, WI. Glenn grew up on his family farm and would later leave home to attend college at UW-Madison and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture. He met his wife while working at Packerland Packing as a USDA meat grader, who he loved dearly and who stuck by his side to the very end. After retiring from his career with the government, Glenn worked as a valet parker for St. Vincent Hospital for 12 1/2 years.
Glenn loved spending time in his garden, bowling (he once bowled a perfect 300) and playing cards, polka music, blackberry picking and being with his family. He played softball and bowled into his 80's. Glenn loved to cheer on the Brewers and the Dodgers. He was very proud of his Norwegian heritage and attended the Norwegian Heritage Supper annually. Glenn and Bee were faithful members of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church since 1975. He was a great husband, father, grandpa and a man who will be remembered by all as a gentle and kind man.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 54 years, Beatrice "Bee"; his 3 daughters: Michelle "Micki" (James) Klemencic, Kari (Kevin) Wood and Jenna (Patrick) Zehms and 8 grandchildren: Riley (Samantha Rissling) Klemencic, Rutger Klemencic, Karigann Wood, Autumn Klemencic, Kerena Wood, Hayden Zehms, Jonas Zehms and Addilynn Zehms. He is further survived by a sister-in-law, Linda Moen and many, many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Milton Moen.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 12 to 2 PM. A memorial service will follow at 2 PM with Pastor Jennifer Fite officiating. Glenn will be laid to rest at Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum.
