Gerardo Raul Peguero, beloved son, brother and friend, passed away in Green Bay on October 19, 2022 at the age of 38. Gerardo was born in Green Bay, Wisconsin on June 13, 1984 to Roberto and Yvette Peguero. Gerardo was born into this world alongside his twin brother Ricardo and as children they were inseparable. As a child, Gerardo was a quiet, loving son and brother who found endless joy playing with his four siblings. As he grew up, he enjoyed playing soccer, baseball, and football. Gerardo attended Southwest High School and cherished the friends he made there. He graduated from culinary school at NWTC and took great pride being in the kitchen cooking for family and friends. He had an appreciation and respect for the outdoors, and enjoyed time at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya as both a child and an adult. Times he was able to be at his Grandparents' home on Bass Lake and the Wolf River were some of his most joyful. He always had a great love for music and especially enjoyed attending live shows. He was a deep thinker who loved reading and writing poetry.
Gerardo is survived by his loving parents, Roberto and Yvette (Long) Peguero, brother Christopher (Anthony Potter) Peguero, sister Adriana (Jonathan Clinkscale) Peguero, and his twin brother Ricardo (Melissa) Peguero. He is also survived by Grandmothers Adela Peguero and Yvonne Waukau, Aunts Maria de Jesus Rodriguez, Porfiria Gutierrez, Lynette (Richard) Valentine, and Uncle Russell (Tara) Long. Gerardo is also survived by his nieces and nephews Nadia, Adela, Alexander, Mia and Mateo, whom he took particular joy in spending time with, and his cousins Patricia, Diana, Armando, Leonardo, Jessica, Monica, Connie, Leanna, Chelsea, Clint, Cole, and Camryn, along with many close friends.
Gerardo was preceded in death by his big brother and protector Robert David Peguero, Grandfathers Leo Long and Lloyd Waukau, Uncle Curtis Long, Aunt Lori Long and cousins Corey Long, Heidi Beavin, and Romeo Peters.
Gerardo deeply grieved the loss of his brother Robert, and it is our solemn hope that when Gerardo left this earthly life, it was to walk into the loving arms of his big brother.
A private memorial service was held by Gerardo's family. The family wishes to thank all of those who loved Gerardo and all who reached out to offer condolences.
We love you eternally, Gerardo.
