Gerald Elsner

September 24, 1935 — February 6, 2021

Gerald "Jerry" Elsner, 85, of Ashwaubenon, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2021, with his family by his side.

He was born on September, 24, 1935 to the late Lucille (Stein) and Bill Griffis.

Jerry was a graduate of Green Bay West High school, Class of 1953. He worked for Green Bay Chicago Lines as a teamster truck driver for 35 years.

He married Audrey Bloy in 1955. Together they shared almost 63 years of marriage together.

Jerry enjoyed being in the outdoors, trout fishing and spending time at his cabin. He loved to take camping trips with his boys when they were young. He enjoyed spending time with his sons and his grandchildren. He was an avid dog lover and had German Shepherds his entire life. Jerry was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church and served as an usher during Sunday church services.

Survivors include his sons: Robin (Cyndi) Elsner, Keith (Patti) Elsner, Scott (Chris) Elsner and Dan (Laura) Elsner; grandchildren: Chelsea (Michael), Bobby, Mary, Eric (Debra), Roxanne (Mike), Cammi, Livia, Alicia and Amber and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his beloved German Shepherd, Angel.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Audrey.

Jerry's family would like to thank the staff at Unity Hospice for the great care they provided. A special thank you to Dan, Laura and Amber for taking care of Jerry over the past two years.
