Gerald E. Verbruggen Sr.

Gerald "Jerry" VerBruggen Sr., age71, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015. He was born in Green Bay, WI on Febuary 1, 1944 to the late George and Gen (Burgoyne) VerBruggen. He was a graduate at Abbott Pennings in De Pere, WI. Jerry was a machinist for 23 years at Giddings & Lewis in Kaukauna, WI. Jerry enjoyed watching the Packers, restoring cars, listening to Johnny Cash and having a few beers.

He is survived by his 3 children Gerald "Jerry" Jr. (Michelle) VerBruggen, James "Jimmy" VerBruggen and Katheryn (Dr. Al) Resch; grandchildren, Andrea (fiancé Scott Guns) VerBruggen, Sara (special friend Tyler Bowe) VerBruggen, Jonathan VerBruggen and Danielle (special friend Nicholas Haas) Rouse; one great-granddaughter, Reilly VerBruggen; step-grandchildren, Kody Peterson, Mellissa and Kaitlin Resch, and a best friend of 55 years Valerie and his cat "Punk".

Memorial visitation for close friends and family will be held at the NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a memorial fund has been established in Jerry's name.
