George Reed Sr.

February 22, 1941 — March 23, 2015

Mr. George Reed, Sr., 74, of 3750 N. County Line Road Oneida, died March 23, 2015 at Anna John Nursing Home.

He was born on February 22, 1941, in Tomah, Wisconsin a son of the late Vincent and Christine (Wheelock) Reed. On June 2, 1962, he married Shirley (Metoxen) in Green Bay, WI. He had been a welder at Green Bay Structural Steel prior to his retirement.

Survivors include one daughter, Lynn of Illinois, sons, George Reed, Jr. of Oneida, WI, Rodney Reed, of Oneida and Dale Reed of Oneida and Christopher; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Walter Reed and Robert Reed; three sisters, Jude, Theresa and Leona.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Reed, sons Douglas Reed, Sr. and Steven Reed, and a brother, Emerson Reed.

Friends may call on the family on Friday, March 27, 2015 from 9 to 11 AM at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME (340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay) – Oneida Hymn Singers at 10:30 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11AM. Interment will be in Church of the Holy Apostles Cemetery.
