George J. Mallien, 96, of Green Bay, beloved husband of the late Beverly J. (LaPlante) Mallien, departed this life on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Allouez Parkside Village.
George was born on September 16, 1922 in Brussels, WI son of the late Peter and Mary (Dandois) Mallien. He served in the U.S. Army druing World War II in Europe; in the 103rd Infantry Division. On September 30, 1950 he married Beverly and they spent many years of marriage together until she preceded him in death in 2017. He retired from Leichts Transfer and Storage after 40 years of service.
He is survived by his two sons: Keith and Brian Mallien both of Green Bay. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers, and two sisters.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24th from 2 PM - 4 PM at Newcomer - Green Bay Chapel, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 25th at 11 AM at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the staff of Allouez Parkside Village and Heartland Hospice for the care given to George in his final journey.
