Now that you are reading this, my time has come. I have lived a very blessed, comfortable & happy life. I was born in Escanaba, MI, August 25, 1949, only child of Harry "Red" Lundin & Shirley (Bovin) Lundin.
I was raised in Gladstone, MI and graduated from Gladstone High School with the Class of 1967. After high school I attended Bay de Noc Nursing College in Escanaba, graduating in 1969. Following graduation I worked at St. Frances Hospital in Escanaba for a few years.
I married my high school sweetheart, Howard, January 24, 1973. We then lived in Appleton, WI. Our first son, Craig, was born at Appleton Medical Center. I worked at that facility until we moved to Green Bay. After our second son, Eric, was born, I decided to be a "stay at home Mom" for several years (it was the best job I ever had!) We enjoyed going to all our sons' school activities and functions, including all the sports they participated in. In other words, our "boys" were our life!!
When I felt it was time to "get back to nursing", I started working at Grancare in 1981. The was the job I truly loved. Nursing was definitely MY CALLING! After 34 years at Grancare, with very mixed emotions, I retired in 2015.
Through the years Howard & I enjoyed our many camping & travel vacations in our RV. All total we have visited 46 states!!! I was also a huge sports fan. I LOVED the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers football!!
I am survived by: my husband, Howard; sons, Craig, Marshall, WI & Eric (Brenda), Suamico, WI; sisters-in-law: Jacqueline & Merlin Behling, Green Bay, WI, Donna Salewski, Pound, WI, Jean & Mick Merriman, Workshop, England; many nieces, nephews, cousins & very special friends.
I was preceded in death by: my parents; mother & father-in-law, Myron & Blanche Salewski; 5 brothers-in-law: David, Jack, Allen, Jerry & Patrick Salewski & Allen Olson; sisters-in-law: Sally Olson, Earline Salewski, Beverly Salewski & Arbutus Salewski.
Per my request there will be private graveside services held at a later date by my family.
My family would like to extend their most sincere gratitude to the first responders, Green Bay Police Department and EMTs that came to my aid and assisted my family with care and compassion.
