Gary F. Lannoye, 66, of Pulaski, passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones after a 5 year long battle with brain cancer. Gary defied the odds of his prognosis, therefore his brain was donated to Froedtert Hospital and will be studied to benefit future patients with a similar diagnosis.
He was born in Henderson, NV, on January 1, 1957, oldest son to John and Joan Lannoye. He graduated from Premontre High School in 1975. Before graduation, he met the love of his life, Pam Servais. They were married on May 1, 1976 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay, WI. They had four daughters, Jenny, Stacy, Crystal, and Cassie. When asked how he dealt with having four daughters, he responded, "I'm man enough to handle them."
While Gary had many passions in life, family was the most important to him. He was never afraid of getting his hands dirty. If anyone needed help, he was always quick to lend a hand. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether it was camping with family, playing bean bags, or just tinkering in his garage. A man of many interests, he coached little league and was also a part of a bowling, pool and dart league when younger. A competitive man, he would never turn down the chance to play cards or board games with family. We will remember him for his bad jokes and unique sense of humor.
Gary is survived by his wife, Pam; his daughters; Jennifer (Ed Verboomen) Kobylarczyk, Stacy Harris, Crystal (Darrel) Wagner, and Cassandra (Clint) De Ruyter; 11 grandchildren: Austin, Gracie, Hunter and Jillian, Abigail, Isabella and Maxamillion, Alexander, Leonardo, Anastasia and Theodore; his mother, Joan (Pamperin) Lannoye-Engebretsen and 3 siblings: Gene (Jean) Lannoye, Lori (Todd) Selissen and Lisa (Brad) Schumacher. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his dad, John Lannoye.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay), Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 3 to 6 PM. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM. To leave an online condolence for the family, please visit www.NewcomerGreenBay.com.
