Garwyn N. Kramer, 78, Ledgeview, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2013, with his wife by his side.
He was born on April 16, 1935, in Sturgeon Bay, WI to the late Milton & Lillian Kramer.
Garwyn served in the US Marine Corp during the Korean War. After the war, he worked at the shipyards in Sturgeon Bay. He later worked at Briggs & Stratton in Milwaukee until his retirement in 1997.
He married Judy Mickelson on May 7, 1960, at St. Joseph's Church in Sturgeon Bay, celebrating 53 years of marriage together.
Garwyn enjoyed watching the Packers at home, without any interruptions. He also enjoyed maintaining his homes, especially the landscaping and gardening. While his children were younger, he enjoyed attending their little league games and encouraging them. Garwyn instilled great work ethics in all of his children; they learned many of life's lessons while working alongside him.
Survivors include, his wife; four children, son, Michael (Jennifer), their children, Brooke, Brianna, and Ciara and Michael's son, Marshall Peters; daughter, Susan Kramer Blank, her children, Holly Blank, Jordan and Jarred; son, Marty, his daughter, Kayla; son, Shanon; great-grandchild, Kyliegh; further survived by, his older sister, Gerri (Don) Wendt; in-laws, Sandra (Ed) Fisher and Yvonne (Paul) Wood; and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert & David Kramer; sisters, June Gunnlaugsson, Shirley Gunnlaughsson, Patsy Sathers, Gladys Staats and Sharon Paschke; mother-in-law, Alice Swan Deutsch; aunt, Marion Deutsch; also preceded in death by, nieces, Connie & infant Kelly Paschke, Launda and Christine McKinley; and nephew, Nicholas George.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bauchhuber, the Aurora Visiting Nurse's, especially Val, Sam and Terri and social worker, Lynn.
A special thank you to his daughter-in-law, Jennifer and niece, Marion Jennerjohn for being there with Judy during this difficult time.
At Garwyn's request there will be no services. Interment will be at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
