Garret M Pavlik "Pav", age 77, of Green Bay Wisconsin. Passed away on November 16th, 2023, from Lung cancer. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.
Garret was born in Racine, Wisconsin on September 24th, 1946. Gary went to Horlick and Park High School in Racine.
Gary's working career included being a machinist at Paper converting corporation, he also was a truck driver and a taxi driver until a critical car accident that happened in 2000 prohibited him from continuing his career. After rehabilitation from the accident, you could find him at Packerland Tire and Auto after a breakfast at his favorite restaurant, Golden Basket on Military Ave.
After suffering a stroke in 2019 he needed to have speech rehab. After Rehab in 2021, he resided at Green Bay Health Services until his time of death.
Pav was a member of the Drifters and Heathens Motorcycle Clubs before retiring. He rode the same 1980 Honda Goldwing during his memberships and endured a lot of razzing from his fellow brothers in the Harley Davidson Motorcycle Clubs, it almost seemed intentional on his part. He was known for always taking pictures and always having some kind of gadget or another. He will be remembered for his zany antics and brotherhood.
Gary is survived by his daughters: Kayla (Pavlik) Hope, Philip Hope (Son in law), (Michelle Pavlik) Schelk, Gary Schelk (Son in Law), Amy Pavlik, and Tracey Stemen, and his son Terry Pavlik. His Grandchildren: Trenton Shiffer, Amelia Hope, Caitin Pavlik and many more grandchildren and great grandchildren. His Brother Gregory St Martin, Linda St Martin (Sister-in-Law), and David Bohn (Brother-in-law).
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lars and Elise Christianson. His mother Bette St Martin. His brothers Gordon St Martin, James St Martin. His Sisters Cheryl St Martin, and Laurel Bohn.
Recently Gary was asked what he considered to be his proudest accomplishment, his reply was "Saving eight people from a fire", He received a Good Citizen Award from the City of Racine. Gary's Friends can have proud moments they could add to that as well.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral home, 340 S. Monroe St, Green Bay Wisconsin on Thursday, January 4th, 2023 from 4pm to 6pm and a memorial service at 6pm. A Celebration of life to come later this year.
