Franklin P. Zellner, age 90, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully, Monday, July 31, 2023. He was born in Luxemburg, WI, July 18, 1933, son of the late Peter and Emma (Theys) Zellner.
Frank enlisted in the US Army and proudly served his country until his honorable discharge in 1955. After his military service, he married the love of his life, Arleene Koss, April 14, 1956. They shared 58 years of marriage before Arleene passed in 2015. Frank and Arleene were faithful members of St. Philip the Apostle Parish.
Frank was a hard worker and devoted provider to his family, most often maintaining more than one job at a time. He was an avid gardener and was very proud of his vegetable gardens.
Franklin is survived by his 2 children, Jim (Julie) Zellner and Julie (Ken) Baumgart; 7 grandchildren: Ken Baumgart, Darryl (Becky) LaPere, Deanna (Erik) Ringheim, Scott (Ashley) Baumgart, Andy (Cassie) Baumgart, Amanda Zellner, Ashley (Roeman) Austin; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Brooke, Kaleb (Jessica), Karley, Kennedy, Ireland, Jaelynn, Victor, Grant, Evelyne and Damien and 5 siblings. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Corbin LaPere and 8 siblings.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI), Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 4 to 6 PM. A memorial service will follow at 6 PM. To leave an online condolence for the family, please visit www.NewcomerGreenBay.com.
