Franklin L. Topel "Frank" passed away on August 15, 2020, at the age of 78, with his family by his side. Frank battled cancer for many years. Born to Melvin and Mildred Topel on July 30, 1942 in Oconto, WI. Frank married Lola J. Jepson on October 2, 1962. They had six children together: Melonie (Scott) Bligiske, Kevin Topel, Marlene (Toby) VanDenHeuvel, Steve Topel, Wendy Topel (Bob) and Valorie Topel (Mitch); 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
Frank served in the Army National Guard from 1958 to 1962. He retired from Agralink Foods in 2004. He loved to hunt and fish with his kids and grandchildren. He was a very good cook and loved to make food. Frank liked to do woodworking projects in his spare time. He lived for many years at his second home in Pensaukee, WI.
Frank leaves behind his six children; 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; two sisters: Lettie (Dennis) Pelto and Pat (Ronald) Strom; many nieces and nephews; Lola's siblings and spouses, also special friends: Bernie and Jason Rosera and Barb Carter.
Preceding Frank in death, his wife Lola of 57 years; parents Melvin and Mildred Topel, brother Robert Topel, two infant brothers; grandson, Steven Topel, in laws: Hiram and Lola Jepson; brother in law, Dave Quimby.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer Green Bay Chapel (340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay, WI) on Thursday, August 27, 2020 from 3 to 5 pm. A memorial service will follow at 5 pm. Frank will be laid to rest in Brookside Cemetery. To leave an online condolence please visit www.newcomergreenbay.com.
