Frances Rickard

November 23, 1935 — June 9, 2023

Frances (Fran) Smith Rickard passed away on June 9, 2023 due to pancreatic cancer. She was born Nov. 23, 1935 to Harold and Rosalie Smith.
After graduating from St Joseph's Academy in 1954, she worked for Garot Christman Insurance Co., the sewing department at Royal Cleaners and retired after 25 years from the State of Wisconsin Unemployment Compensation. She was a Union Rep. for AFSCME, a long-time volunteer for Discover Green Bay Visitor Center. Her sewing talents were used for the St. Francis Cathedral Bazaar. She repurposed many items for the Repurpose for a Reason Auction at Habitat for Humanity.
Survived by her children; Colleen & Michael Neerdaels, Eileen & Ronald Jonet, Rosemary Rickard, Michael & Betsy Rickard, sisters; Jane Travers, Phyllis Smith, 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, ShihTzu companion Olive, friends and many Packer Parking friends.
Preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Rosalie Smith, brothers-in-law Matthew Travers and Lenard Ellis.
The family would like to express special thank you's to Unity Hospice, Father Brian Belongia and Deacon Conrad Kieltyka.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Friday, June 23, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 139 S. Madison St., Green Bay with Mass celebrated at 11:00 am.
