Faye "Granny" Petasek, 81, of Green Bay, beloved wife of the late Leonard Petasek, departed this life on Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at her home with her daughters by her side.
Faye was born on October 4, 1934, in Green Bay, daughter of the late Joseph and Elsie (Morrow) White. On November 26, 1955 she married Leonard and they spent many years of loving marriage together. Granny was very involved with her family and loved spending time with them. She helped to raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In her spare time she enjoyed watching Days of Our Lives, the Green Bay Packers, and reading the paper. She also enjoyed playing the lottery and was even a winner a few times. She loved Polka music.
Granny is survived by her daughters: Gladys Petasek, and Gale (Wayne) Brunette. She also leaves a brother, Gene White, and a sister, Carol (Roger) Nuthals. Granny also leaves her beloved grandchildren: Amy (Kurt) Tanguay, Jesse (Nicole) Brunette, Jennifer (Luis) Brunette, Heather Yang, and Wade (Rasami) Brunette, along with 15 great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Florence White and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Granny is preceded in death by a daughter, Sue Lynn Petasek, a grandson, Matthew Brunette, great granddaughter, Tiffeny Yang, brothers: Robert White and Jim White, and an infant sister, Darlene White.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 20th from 9 AM - 12 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. A funeral service will follow at 12 PM in the funeral Home with Dc. Thomas Mahoney officiating. Interment will be Fort Howard Memorial Park. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Heartland Hospice for their compassion and care for Granny especially Trisha.
