Eva A. Danz, 96, Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Odd Fellow Nursing Home.
She was born on July 17, 1917,in Maplewood, WI, to Jacob & Elsie (Plinske) Babler.
Eva married J. Gilbert Danz in Green Bay, on June 3, 1939. He preceded her in death on October 20, 1986.
She was a baker at the St. Matthew School cafeteria for many years, and was the ultimate Packer fan. She was an avid bridge player and loved spending time with her family.
Eva was a special lady and will be missed by all.
Survivors include her children, Mary (Walter) Wied, Sebring, FL, Susan (Leroy) Joppa, Laona, Jane (James) LeFevre, Dyckesville, Terese Herden, Wausaukee and Stephanie (Glenn) Danz, Milwaukee; twelve grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Marge Danz; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, J. Gilbert Danz; son, John Danz; and son-in-law, Michael Herden.
Visitation will be held from 9:00am until 10:15am on Monday, April 14, 2014, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 130 St. Matthew St., Green Bay. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the church on Monday at 10:30am with Rev. Phillip Dinh-Van-Thiep officiating. Entombment will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter.
The family would like to thank all the staff at Odd Fellow Nursing Home, where she resided for five years. She could not have had better care takers.
