Eugene Peterson, 83, Green Bay, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, quietly at his home.
He was born on September 11, 1931, to the late Richard & Ellen Peterson.
Eugene worked for Proctor and Gamble for 33 years. He later drove for Lamers for 27 years. He loved driving coach across country, retiring from that in 2009, but continued to drive school bus until 2012.
He married Mabel Rasmussen January 17, 1959, in Green Bay.
Eugene enjoyed scrapping copper and other metals from items he was able to claim. He loved his grandchildren very much and enjoyed spending time with them. Eugene was quite the story teller; he would go on for hours to anyone who would listen.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mabel Peterson; four children, Steven Peterson, Ellen Meeuwsen, Richard Peterson and Denise (Todd) Falk; five grandchildren, Matthew Meeuwsen, Dennessa Meeuwsen, Dylan Falk, Anthony Peterson and Rebecca Peterson; siblings, Leon Peterson, Donna Peterson and Carolyn Peterson; brothers-in-law, Clarence & Harold Rasmussen' and will be remembered by his nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his son, Mark L. Peterson; and brother, Wayne Peterson.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 8, 2014, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 340 S. Monroe Ave., Green Bay.
