Ernest H. Teske, age 87 was taken from his earthly life to be with God for eternal life, on July 21, 2022 at Edenbrook of Green Bay. Ernest was born November 14, 1934 in the farm house, Alaska, Kewaunee County. The first son of Edward F. and Erna M. (Schwautes) Teske. He attended Alaska Grade School and graduated from Kewaunee High School in 1953. Ernest started driving tractor at age 7 in the field. He helped with the farm work up to the time he went to the University of Wisconsin. Ernest met Janice F. Huerth dancing, after dating and more dancing they fell in love, got married July 8, 1961 at Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay. They had a son and daughter. Ernest worked in the engineering Department for 42 years at FMC. Ernest is the co-inventor of 7 US patents at FMC.
Ernest enjoyed working in his large garden and yard, and feeding birds. He had many memories of family gatherings at his home and yard.After retiring for FMC, Ernest helped his late brother, Roger on the Teske home farm, in Alaska, WI. With field work, machinery repair and the harvesting of farm crops. Ernest and Janice had traveled in 26 states and Canada on many memorable vacations with our children and later in life with his brother Mark (Linda) their daughter, Katie and sister-in-law, Laurie. Ernest was a Packer and Brewer fan. Ernest went to Packer games with his brother Roger. He went to Brewers games by charter bus with brothers Mark and Roger. Ernest grilled hamburgers for many years for the ABC Tractor Club Pulls.
Ernest is survived by his son, David (Dawn) Teske, daughter, Kay Teske, grandsons: Matthew (Heather) Teske, Andrew (April) Teske, Zachary Runge, and Alexander Runge; six great-grandchildren, brother, Mark (Linda), sister-in-law, Laurie, five nieces and four nephews.
Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Janice, of 58 years of marriage, on December 31, 2019, three brothers: Edward, Melvin, Roger, sister-in-law, Norma, parents, nephew, Ted, and nieces, Tara and Abigail.
Friends and family may visit at Grace Lutheran Church, 321 S. Madison Street, on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 9:30 am until 11:30 am with funeral service to follow at 11:30. Private entombment will take place at Nicolet Memorial Gardens.
