Erma Jean Talley

Erma Jean (Lewark) Talley, age 85, passed away from heart complications, Wednesday, November 8, 2017 with her daughter and son-in-law at her side. She was born August 9, 1932 in George, IA, daughter of the late Earl and Anna (Goldhorn) Lewark.

Erma married Floyd Talley in August of 1952. They farmed in Gillette area for over 40 years until retirement. They moved to Silver City, NM until Floyd's passing in December of 2015.

Erma is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Andy) Compton and 6 grandchildren: Justin Holl, Jacob (Krista) Holl and their children: Gavin, Cheyenne and Jacob, Jesse (Mel Daly) Holl, Jeff (special friend, Jenny) Talley and their son, Jimmy, Michelle (Jerry Mabry) Compton and their children, Riley and Ella Mabry and Brian (Christine) Compton and their son, Griffon Compton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Talley; her son, Jimmy Talley; daughter-in-law, Barbara Talley and a grandson, Jason Zimdars.

Private services will be held at a later date. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions has been entrusted with arrangements.
