Emily Madison Duchateau

Emily Madison DuChateau, age 11, of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, November 21, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital. She was born March 4, 2008 in Green Bay, daughter of Paul and Victoria (Schuster) DuChateau.
Emily was a student at Washington Middle School, enrolled in the arts program. She was an active member of and will be greatly missed by Girl Scout Troop #4114. Emily was a talented artist and enjoyed music, especially the music of her favorite band, BTS. She was an avid Fortnite player with her friend, Sasha A.K.A. "Sushi." Emily loved to dance and her favorite dance was "The Floss." She enjoyed making chocolate chip pancakes for the family that were never quite done in the middle. During the summer she could often be found doing cannonballs off the deck into Grandma's pool and anything she could do outdoors. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals and loved playing with her dog, Chewy and her cat, Winter.
Emily will be remembered for her kind heart and giving nature. She was always concerned for others and showed a great compassion beyond her years. Her memory will be cherished and live on through her family.
Emily will be dearly missed by her parents, Paul and Victoria "Vicki"; her sister, Tiffany; niece, Samara; her paternal grandparents, Joanne Eastman and Lee DuChateau; maternal grandmother, Sharon Schuster Braun; uncle and aunt, Michael and Sarah DuChateau and an uncle, James "Scooter" Wery. She is further survived by her cousins, Merrick and Elise DuChateau and numerous other family and friends.
Visitation will be held at Faith Lutheran Church (2335 S. Webster Ave. Green Bay), Tuesday, November 26, 2019 from 9 to 10:45 AM. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor Joshua Errer officiating. Burial will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials directed to the family are appreciated.
Emily's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Taylor and staff on the PICU Floor at St. Vincent Hospital for their unbelievable care, support and compassion. Thank you also to Pastor Errer and the Faith Lutheran Church family for their prayers and support during this difficult time.
