Edwin A. Meert, 93, passed away, Saturday, August 15, 2015.
Ed was born in Green Bay, WI on September 24, 1921 to the late Frank and Mary (Bos) Meert. Ed served in the United States Marine Corp during WW II. Ed went on to serve as a Green Bay Police officer for 30 years.
Ed is survived by his wife, the former Lois Schauer, of nearly 63 years. He is also survived by his son, Frank (Jennifer) Meert and 5 grandchildren. Elizabeth (Patrick) Havican, Anna, John, Emily and Benjamin Meert. He is further survived by his sister, Marge Schmitz, sister and brothers-in-law, William and Rita Muldoon, James Schauer and nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives may call from 9:30AM to 10:45AM on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at St. Agnes Parish (1484 9th St, Green Bay, WI). A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM. Military honors will immediately follow Mass. Entombment in Fort Howard Mausoleum.
