Edward C. Woerner, 83, of Cecil, beloved husband of the late Carol (Tuska) Woerner, departed this life at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay.
Ed was born on April 27, 1936 in Milwaukee, WI son of the late Roy Woerner and Mae (Young) Nelson. He enlisted at a young age in the United States Army where served his country and received an honorable discharge. In his early years working in Milwaukee he maintained the big clock at Allen Bradley. He relocated to the Cecil area in 1974 to begin farming. After farming he worked in Industrial Maintenance until his retirement. In his spare time Ed enjoyed boating and fishing. He loved to tinker in his shed and enjoyed building and inventing new things. He will be remembered most as a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend.
He is survived by four children: Sue Woerner, Sharon (Ron) Rotter, Jean (Jeff Herald) Woerner, and Don Woerner. Ed leaves 8 grandchildren: Jason, Chris, Danielle, Kaelen, Nicole, Brooke, Danielle, and Loren along with 2 great grandchildren: Lora Lynn and Paisley. Ed leaves his best buddy "Speedy" the cat. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ed is preceded in death by his wife Carol, his parents, and a daughter, Kathy (Woerner) O'Dell, along with a sister Dora Moosebrugger.
At Ed's request all services are private and being held at the convenience of the family.
