Edward Domanski

Ed Domanski, age 72, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2017 at Unity Hospice surrounded by his family.

He was born in Wyandotte, MI, on May 28, 1944 to Edward & Sophie Domanski. He graduated from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School, briefly attended Orchard Lake Seminary and graduated from Ferris State University.

Ed married the "love of his life" Linda (Delvoye) in 1983. He was the proud father of Deborah Hankenson, Eddie Domanski and David Domanski; step-children, Tracy LeFave, Darrin (Gina) Benz and Michael Benz; grandchildren, Rachel and Kellie Hankenson, Alex (Michelle) LeFave, Adam and Jamelyn Cornish, Damon, Ava and Leo Benz, Garett, Evan, Noah and Liam Benz; great-grandchildren, Charley Bell and Lillian LeFave and King Taylor. His children and grandchildren were the "apple of his eye." They considered him the "best Pappa Ever."

Ed and Linda enjoyed traveling, visiting the Holy Land, Greece and Rome. He also enjoyed his years coaching t-ball, Little League and Pop Warner football. He was an active member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral Parish where he served as a Eucharistic Minister.

Ed is survived by his wife Linda of 33 years; and his sister Pat (Bob) Sassack.

He is preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Marie (Delvoye) Vander Meulen.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, on the corner of Walnut and Monroe Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Rev. Joseph Dorner officiating. Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

Ed's family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Bongiorno, Dr. Blake and Dr. Verma, as well as, the caring staff at Bellin Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital Regional Dialysis and Unity Hospice.
