Duane J. Bashell Sr., 70, of Green Bay, beloved husband of the late Phyllis (Metoxen) Bashell, departed this life peacefully at home on November 22, 2020.
Duane was born on January 3, 1950 in Milwaukee son of the late Edward and Annie (Strenfel) Bashell. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during Vietnam, he retired from the Army after 25 years of service to his country. Until his retirement he worked for 24 years for Straubel Paper Company in Green Bay. He enjoyed checking out the new eateries in the area. Duane had an extremely close relationship with his son Duane Jr. and even worked together at the Paper Company for many years. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Duane is survived by his son Duane (Carmen) Bashell Jr., a step-daughter, Jennifer Milam, along with a grandson, Christian Bashell. He is further survived by aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 4 PM - 6 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 340 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay. The evening will end at 6 PM with Full Military Honors. Duane will be laid to rest in the Oneida Sacred Burial Ground next to his late wife Phyllis.
