It's November 10, 2015.
I find myself taking the last journey of my earthly life. It began 85 years ago on March 19, 1930. I was born to Mary and Paul Heroux in Oconto, WI. They provided me with a solid beginning down this road of life.
I followed in my father's footsteps as a meat cutter and eventually retired from Old Dutch Foods. My life had its ups and downs as all do, but my marriage to Lou (Winkworth) on July 12, 1950 made it a sharing experience. It also brought the joy of my life-5 wonderful children: Cindy (Jim) Kmecheck, Polly (Mike) Ama, Kelly (Chad) Ama, Scott (Melissa) Heroux and Melissa (Ted Siwy) Frazer. They filled my life with pride, fun and a tear here and there. I will miss them.
The greatest gift they bestowed upon me was my grandchildren: Chad, Jenny (Bill), Josh, Amanda, Greg (Kathleen), Adam (Erin), Stef, Shane, Kori, David, Matt (Lisa), Jarred (Cherrell), Tyler, Jordan and Danielle and great-grandchildren: Alex, Ben, Jake, Jimmy, Emma Lou, Madilynn, Morgyn, Carlyn, Ellie, Aiden Joseph, Maizie, Frederick, Luc, Grace, Zac, Cortlyn, Madyson and Blake. They gave me a lifetime of smiles and I love each and every one of them.
To my wife of 65 years-Lou, I couldn't have done it without you. We enjoyed life to the fullest. Our travels brought us the friendship of people from many areas-some became a family extension. They are all irreplaceable. Most of all I know they will always remain close to you. That makes leaving you easier. One day we will all be together again. I love you and will watch over you.
I am here with my parents and my beautiful grand-daughters, Talhia and Kasi. A loving farewell to you all.
