Dorothy E. Bender, 79, a long time resident of Suamico, passed away on April 6, 2024 at a local nursing home.
She was born on October 20, 1944 to Arthur and Esther (Niemi) Cayer in Escanaba, MI.
On August 7, 1967 she married Ralph Bender.
Dorothy cleaned homes for people and went on to factory work. She enjoyed going to Upper Michigan to visit family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her loving sons: Patrick (Judy) Bender, Michael (Sharon) Bender, Ronald (Candy) Bender and step sons Carey Bender, Melvin Bender and many grandchildren, great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, brother Melvin Cayer and two step sons Wayne Bender and Craig Bender.
The Bender family extends a special thank you to the staff at Woodside Lutheran Home for their wonderful care.
